Description
Louis Philippe period commode with a bookmatched flamed mahogany veneer on oak. Original handsome Sainte-Anne marble top with round edges. Featuring four fitted long drawers with brass keyholes for three of them. The one under the marble top so called "secret" drawer. Resting on four short feet, the two in front being rounded.
Louis Philippe style was purposely linear and restraint providing robustness and functionality. It never had gilded bronze decoration.
